​Gerry Healy is originally from Carrick-on-Suir in Co. Tipperary and has lived in Dublin, Ireland for twenty-six years. He is a HR Learning & Development Consultant and Media Professional (On-Camera, Radio and Voice Talent).


As a HR Professional, he designs and develops Learning and Development initiatives and delivers in Ireland, UK, Europe and in the USA. As a Media Professional, he has worked freelance on TV and Radio in Ireland as Weather Presenter, Magazine / News Show Presenter, TV Gameshow Host and Kids TV Presenter.

 

Gerry Healy has become renowned throughout Ireland as a highly successful Media Presenter (Television and Radio) Actor and Training Consultant. Gerry began his career as a DJ/Presenter with radio stations in the South of Ireland; SuirsideFM in Waterford, Radio Carrick in Carrick-on-Suir, KCR in Kilkenny and Centre FM in Clonmel. In addition, Gerry was MC for various events from fashion shows to variety concerts and provided voice overs for corporate training videos and supermarket in-store promotions. Gerry also acted on stage with the award winning Carrick-on-Suir Operatic Society and Brewery Lane Drama Group in his home town of Carrick-on-Suir in Co. Tipperary, Ireland In the early 90’s, Gerry was one of the founders and in-turn became the resident DJ for eclipse night club at the Carraig Hotel.

 

Shortly after moving to Dublin in 1992, Gerry joined state broadcaster, RTE, He shot to fame following his initial appearance doing stand-up comedy on Gerry Ryan’s popular TV show – Secrets. He also appeared in Fair City, Thou shalt not kill, The Den and The Swamp. He had a regular slot on ‘The End’ and then became Presenter of very popular Saturday morning kids TV Gameshow ‘Physiquiz’.

 

Gerry’s talent was soon recognised by emerging TV station TV3, where he took up an offer as a freelance Weather Presenter on TV3 News and on TV3s morning show; Ireland AM. After a number of years, Gerry progressed from TV3 and in the year 2007, Gerry commenced working as a Training Consultant serving the commercial, industrial, technical and customer service sectors. Over the years, Gerry has worked with some of the best companies in the world: Digital, Intel, Stratus Computer, Ascend Communications, Lucent Technologies, Pfizer, Dell, Bertelsmann Media Group, Getty Images, Symantec, Veritas and currently Gerry works as Sr Skills Trainer at Coupa .

 

Gerry is still actively engaged in media and has created and written three game show formats with his production company, ‘Wavy Hand Productions’. He has also achieved great success with voice overs and can be heard and seen on many radio, TV and Web adverts in Ireland, UK, Europe and the USA. He worked as News Presenter on Classic Hits 4FM in Dublin in 2012. Most recently, he worked with
CBS13 / CW31 / KMAXTV in Sacramento, California as guest presenter / host on their morning show; 'Good Day Sacramento'.

 

Currently, Gerry Healy presents a show on Spirit Radio in Ireland every Friday from 7pm – 10pm called ‘ The Friday Feeling’ . 'It’s like a breakfast show but, in the evening'. Lively, engaging and full of energy with quizzes and music, the show has become hugely popular on the station and Gerry has too!  He will help you to "wind down your week and wind up your weekend" with a mix of positive up-lifting music, positive news,  fun quizzes and great prizes. The show features unique quizzes (all created and owned by Gerry)  such as ©The Friday Shopping Frenzy, ©The Friday Freight Train, ©The Friday Freeway, ©The Friday Freeway – USA, ©The Friday Flight, ©The Friday Flashback, ©The Friday Flip-Flops, ©The Friday Figure-it-out and ©The Friday Fun-Fair…

 

On the success of his Friday evening show, Gerry was asked to present The Spirit Radio Saturday morning Breakfast show. You can join Gerry for Coffee and Muffins with some brown bread and marmalade thrown in for good measure every Saturday morning from 7-9am for ‘Brekkie with Gerry’ on Spirit Radio! www.spiritradio.ie

 

Gerry also presents on East Coast FM as a swing presenter on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

 

As he continued to expand his media career, he could be found on other radio stations too including: All80s -   ‘The Gerry Healy Show’ on All80s DAB Radio. "A walking encyclopaedia on 80s greatness, hear Gerry with the stories behind the songs each weekend evening from 6pm - 8pm www.all80s.ie

 

In 2014, Gerry was asked to join the presenting team on Christmas FM - Irelands Christmas Station... He presented the Saturday evening show from 8-10pm each Saturday during December. "I loved it - a chance to bring some Christmas cheer to so many people all around the world and also help raise funds for - our Charity Partner. I have done it every year since and I am back again this year with an extra hour now; presenting from 8pm - 11pm :)

 

From his home studio in Dublin 15, Gerry records Voice Overs for Radio and TV Adverts, Websites and eLearning.

In his spare time (whenever he gets some), Gerry likes to play guitar/Spanish and Rock Guitar and drums. In October, I started to play the piano and has learned The Boomtown Rats song 'I don't like Mondays'. I am also in training for a private pilots licence and hope to have it by 2022!
